It can live peacefully with most suitable community fish and may form a symbiotic relationship with a pistol shrimp.

Primarily carnivorous. Feed a varied diet of mysis shrimp, enriched brine shrimp, chopped seafood, copepods, and high-quality sinking marine pellets. Regular feeding is important to maintain good health.
