Behavior:

Active, confident, and moderately territorial. It may become aggressive toward other angelfish or similarly shaped fish, especially in smaller aquariums. Providing plenty of rockwork, caves, and swimming space helps reduce stress and territorial behavior.

Diet:

Omnivorous, with a diet that includes marine algae, sponges, seaweed, spirulina, mysis shrimp, frozen marine foods, and high-quality angelfish pellets. A varied diet with frequent feeding is important for maintaining good health and coloration.

Size:

Can grow to approximately 10 inches (25 cm) in length.

Reef Safe:

Not considered reef safe. Majestic Angelfish may nip at corals, sponges, clams, and other sessile invertebrates. It is best suited to a fish-only or fish-only-with-live-rock (FOWLR) aquarium.

Best Aquarium:

A mature marine aquarium of at least 125 gallons (475 liters) is recommended, with 180 gallons (680 liters) or larger preferred for an adult specimen. Provide plenty of live rock, caves, hiding places, open swimming space, and excellent water quality.
